Two beautiful kitchens - Advice for using natural & eco paints for colour & inspiration

Posted by Chris @ The Organic & Natural Paint Co. on 29th Jul 2015

Here's some inspiration for you. These two beautifully clean and calm kitchens are the amazing work of Steve Larkin. Both kitchens offer a calming use of soft traditional and period colours, with complementary colours used for the kitchen fittings and fixtures.

Everything works in harmony here, with natural wood surfaces and flooring, through to the festoon style pendant lamp, almost as a feature in this clean and traditional kitchen. Colours such as Cove, Windermere, or even Glaslyn and Lomond would work well here, these similar wall colours are available in the  Auro 321 Standard Natural Emulsion range, with some colours now available in the newer recipe Auro 524 Premium eco emulsion range. White, or even perhaps an arctic moss work as a ceiling colour, with either a cream or gloss white natural wood paint - such as the Auro 250 Natural Gloss, or Auro 260 Matt Silk. All these paints are natural, eco friendly and safe and offer a much better alternative to conventional house paints. Breathe easily again and keep your family safe.

Following a similar colour palette, this more modern kitchen suits colours in the grey tones such as Loadstone, Ankerite or even smoked clay, but from a more green / grey / blue palette one may find Sagebush, cove or even Monkstone suitable.

As we always have done, we can match any colour you would like, you can send us a sample, a chip of paint, a colour swatch or whatever you like and we will try our best to match it as closely as we can - we'll send you a dried swatch for you to verify first. Have a look at some of the natural and eco paint colours that are available.

Minimum order size applies for custom colours. All colours suggested are not necessarily the colours actually shown in the photographs. We always advise to try a tester pot first in the colours you are thinking about, not only to test colour but also adhesion and opacity.
