ECO PACKAGING: Testers use bio degradable corn starch infill packing pieces (these are only suited to testers and very light weight items though); on larger products we either use recycled/recyclable brown paper or we’re just starting to use pulped cardboard inserts for 2.5l and 5l tins - these are recycled and can either be recycled with household cardboard, composted or several people use them as firefighters!

Natural paints (pigments) may show slight deviations from the standard since they are not petrochemically homogenised. However, we try to level these deviations and test every batch on consistency before it leaves the factory. I would always hint to the various reasons that a colour tone actually may look a bit different from what was to be seen in the colour tone book or on the previous coating: The actual colour tone is influenced by the amount of paint mixed, the method of mixing, the tools used for painting, the painting technique, the colour and consistency of the substrate, the coat thickness, the incidence of light, the ambient temperature and more.
**The paint colour of 'White' such as offered in the Auro 250 and 260 range will generally be mixed to achieve a whiteness level of 94% against EN13300 and as such are considered white. If you are hesitant about it not being 'white enough' we would suggest that you try a tester pot first.
Due to colour variations between computer screens / printed colourcharts it is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that they are satisfied with the colour / shade that they selected and we (and AURO UK) strongly recommend trying a tester pot prior to making a selection.
Colours may appear differently online than then do on your walls, or on the printed colour chart. Try a tester first.
We only stock paints in white and clear, so ALL non-white paints are mixed to the personalised colour you order, so therefore cannot be returned.
Is white the white I would expect? It is a characteristic of natural paints that they are not brilliant or pure white, but they are classified as white - white covers quite a scale, Auro 260 and Auro 250 paints achieve a whiteness level of 94% against EN13300 and as such are considered white. We are conscious that white is a very wide spectrum and people have different expectations which is why we also recommend people try testers to ensure satisfaction; our experience is that a huge majority of our customers prefer the white a little warmer that the stark brilliant whites - again all personal taste and perception though. We produce a cream and ivory finish in the range and there is a distinct difference the white is certainly a little more creamier than a brilliant white, when painted on I would expect the first coat at least to be a little of coloured when using a deep coloured primer, although over subsequent coats the colour we know as white will be achieved.
